What we do

We create, co-produce and organize cultural projects and events, within the fields of music, theatre, art, design, literature, and much, much more. Our main focus is projects which promote diversity and capacity building in civil society, as we work to strengthen the belief that arts- and cultural projects can help create change and contribute to solving societal challenges. Through our project activities, we notably support artists empowerment as well as focusing on children and the youth community, to help create positive democratic development.

WORKSHOPS
& TRAININGS

Our workshops and training are focused on the experience that artistic creation brings. Whether you are a professional looking for specific artistic training or a participant with no prior knowledge. As we strongly believe in the impact of artistic practice on people, we carry out collaborations with artists, socio-cultural activities, workshops and seminars. Here the focus is on close exchange between artist and participants.

Training for teachers in the artistic field: Our organization is supported by artists who have studied at prestigious universities in Austria, Europe, and Latin America. We offer training for classical and popular musicians, painters, designers, actors, and other artistic professionals.

-Training for teaching staff: We also support the development of teachers in other areas by providing them with tools and training for the classroom in subjects related to integration, art, music, and culture.

*Participants:  We focus mainly on the professional artistic development of the participants, as well as on creating instances of participation for them in society. We work with students in the artistic field but also with members of the community who are not related to any artistic area.

In our experience, it has been demonstrated that some artistic disciplines such as composition, theatre, contemporary art, among others, strengthen critical thinking, confidence, anxiety management and teamwork.

Example of trainings:

-Toolkit of artistic methods for the classroom (contemporary art, music composition, architecture)

-Toolkit of artistic methods for entrepreneurs (contemporary art, theater, improvisation).

-Toolkit of artistic methods for musicians (improvisation, composition, dance, theater).

-Toolkit of artistic methods for disadvantaged job seekers (theater, improvisation, sing,
Arts as a didactic tool inside the classroom

What kind of activities we do? Community projects, workshops in specific topics (music, contemporary art, composition, theatre, etc), training for teachers.

WOMEN CREATIVE LAB

The aim of this group is to connect with women (youths and adults) through artistic (experimental) practice. Because we believe in the power of artistic practice as a meeting place, a welcoming environment where we can share our experiences and be ourselves. In this place there are no good or bad artists because everyone is an artist. Here we work under the concept “low technique high sensibility”.

In this space you will be able to:

-Be yourself and build a community
-Be the artist you have always been
-Improve your well-being
-Be listened without prejudice
-Feel integrated and supported by other migrant women

Women Creatibe Lab (WCL) carries out two types of activities

FREE PLAY AND CLOWNING

The central aim of this play workshop is to help the group to let off steam and have fun. It is not often in our adult lives that we can “let go” and play unreservedly. We use the power of play and laughter to let you step out of your “thinking head” for a while and switch off from daily stresses.

A series of drama-based games and exercises designed to let your imagination run free and to put participants at ease in order to have huge amounts of fun and laughter.

You will play as part of a whole group, sometimes in pairs and also have some moments alone within the group session to reflect upon and absorb your good experience in order to carry it with you into the rest of your day.

For whom is this workshop designed?

Youths and Adults

Language: English/Spanish/German. Language level is not relevante.

When: 30.05.2023 in Prater Park.

Do you want to participate? Write us to: office@iraru.org

MEET THE ARTIST

For example: drawing workshops, contemporary art, popular music, etc.

PROJECTS

We promote cultural exchange between artists, organizations and communities in Europe and Latin America.

Our team is constantly working on innovative ways that enable us to fulfill our mission and improve society as a whole. We do this through projects – national and international -. Through partnerships with other organizations in programmes such as Erasmus+ or CreativeEurope we can broaden the scope of our work, reach other relevant target groups and create solutions with more impact.

We have decided to leave passivity behind and through action, we are creating a community that is engaged and united to build a better society.

What types of projects do we work on?

– Those that promote arts and culture

– Those that encourage cultural diversity

– Those that promote capacity building activities

– Those that empower youths and adults to take action

– Those that improve the emotional well-being of participants

– Those that build community and place arts practice at the center

– Those that are focused on communities with fewer opportunities, their integration and wellbeing through the tools and the experience that artistic resources can give.

Our experienced team knows the reality of the cultural sector in Latin America and Europe (Austria in particular). In addition, some of our members have proven experience in Erasmus+, CreativeEurope, Fondart (Chile), Kultur MA7 (Vienna) funds application.

In our projects, we create instances of participation and sociocultural initiatives that work with different sectors of society. All our proposals are based on the needs of the cultural sector, needs that as artists ourselves, we know very well.

Our projects

-Encourage the use of creativity and innovation to solve the needs of the community Support and promote the careers of emerging artists.

-Work with migrant artists and minority groups

-Promote cultural diversity

-Strengthen and encourage the conservation of cultural heritage

-Capacity-building actions for communities, artists and teachers

-Promote artistic creation and fair payment of the cultural sector
