The Arts for Climate Change Project…

is up and running! 🌱🌿🎼🎨

In the first week of December, the first mobility of our 20-month project took place and we had the pleasure of being the ones to start with the first face-to-face activity. 🎉

Our team delivered the ‘Art in Classroom’ training, which used an intermodal approach between inherent language, music, painting and architecture. The sessions were guided by the framework and principles of the Expressive Arts Therapy (EAT).

During the training days, the participants were introduced to a variety of creative tools to be used in the classroom.

They learned about inherent language, had a module on music composition, created artworks and learned about architecture, sustainability and materials. All this was reinforced by visiting the Haus del Musik and Mumok museums in Vienna and watching a documentary on Art and Ecological Activism.

Finally, through their own experience and creation, they were able to see that art is an excellent tool for the expression of emotions and the communication of powerful messages.

Everything that they have learnt is going to be of great help to our project!
